​An exciting follow-on workshop with artist and printmaker Lesley Shaw. This workshop is for those who have already attended an Introduction to Drypoint workshop with Lesley and learned the basic skills of *intaglio drypoint etching, and are now ready to make their own set of limited edition drypoint prints.

Lesley will remind you how to use drypoint etching tools safely and effectively with the use of various steel etching needles and mark making tools. Then working with your own image or drawing (ideally reversed), you will draw/etch your image onto a transparent acrylic plate using your selected etching tools. Lesley will be on hand to guide you through the process of inking up your plate, wiping and then printing your plate with oil-based printing inks using the etching press. You will produce a set of 6 limited edition prints, ready for your signature and date. Prints will be a single colour. Image/tile size can be either A6 printed on A5 paper, or an A5 artwork printed on A4 paper.

Just bring yourself and wear suitable clothing. Aprons and gloves will be provided, along with refreshments.
